Lake Lanier "World Record" Raft-UP (Rescheduled)

The place,  Buford Dam, where a 2-story floating stage, secured in the middle of the formation will provide entertainment and serve as the Command Center.

Boats will begin checking in at 9 am. Judging of the record will occur at 1 pm.

Entry fee is $30.00 per boat, and yes, every boat must be registered for the count.  All boats MUST be “Tied-up” for 60 seconds and each boat must have at least one person in it. Eligible “Boats” include Wave-runners, Sailboats, Houseboats, Cruisers, etc.  All Boats must be registered by Midnight Monday June 6th. When registering, please indicate Black Boaters of America.

Every Registered Boat receives a “Gift Swag Bag” worth over $50.00 in gifts, including two “Official Guinness World Record T-Shirts. (A limited number will be produced)”

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local Children’s Charity.

BBA Luau Island Party ( Lake Lanier Island Resort) Rescheduled due to inclimate weather

Ladies, wear your COCONUT SKIRT. Guys wear your HAWAIIAN OUTFIT. Listen or dance to the music under the stars at one of Lake Lanier's beautiful beaches. The event will be held at Sunset Cove Beach, Carriage House Pavilion from 7 PM until midnight. The event includes food, beverages, music, dancing and free access to Lake Lanier Islands. USCG Auxiliary Boating Safety Course

The one day class starts at 8:30 AM and goes until 5 PM. It is an NASBLA certified boating safety course taught by volunteer instructors from the Coast Guard Auxiliary. This is an entry-level class designed to familiarize students to the rules of the road. Old salts will also benefit from the class since it includes the latest information on Georgia law as well as some laws from neighboring states. This is a classroom only course and does not include on-the-water instruction. You will receive several handouts including Federal and Georgia State boating law booklets.

Aquapalooza (Sponsored by Sea Ray & Marinemax)

Saturday, July 16 - Come early and stay late! Upon entering Sunset Cove, turn your VHF radio to Channel 72. Look for the boats marked with Sea Ray and MarineMax Flags and team members wearing staff shirts to help direct you to a safe and secure anchorage spot. Please be extremely careful as there will be hundreds of boats in the cove. Wave down or radio a MarineMax Water Taxi to get to shore and enjoy the Water Park and Beach activities. We will have live entertainment throughout the day, beach activities, contests, and ending the evening with a Dive-In Movie.

MarineMax will be sending an email with the activity line up for the day closer to the date of the event.

Be sure to come to the registration desk to sign in. This is also where you will pick up your Aquapalooza T-Shirts for anyone who registered before July 1. Shirts will not be available for pick up before the event.
*Remember, only two shirts per registration!

MarineMax Staff will be monitoring Channel 72 on your VHF radio the entire weekend for questions.

Those coming by car will need to pay the $10 gate fee. Follow the signs to park at Grand Hall and walk towards the Sunset Cove restaurant to the registration table.

Water Park tickets will be sold by Lake Lanier Islands.

BBA Annual White Linen Party Affair (Sunrise Cove Marina)

It's time for our Annual Fall Poker Run and Low Country Boil! Registration begins at 9:30am at MarineMax Bald Ridge. All participating boats must register with us before starting out! Once registered, you will receive a map with bucket locations, rules and agenda. There are four stops along the way and your final card will be picked up when you return to MarineMax Bald Ridge for our Low Country Boil!
